Featured in this lot is this full body cinnamon black bear mount taxidermy. The bear mount features a wonderfully and professionally crafted taxidermy construction that show a cinnamon black bear standing on its hind legs with a paper mache rock underneath it and features the bears posture looking straight ahead focused on a prospective threat before it. Cinnamon black bears are a color phase of the American black bear (Ursus americanus) found across much of North America, particularly in the western United States and parts of Canada. Their fur ranges from light brown to a rich reddish-cinnamon hue, which can cause them to be mistaken for grizzly bears, even though they are typically smaller and lack a shoulder hump. Like all black bears, cinnamon black bears are highly adaptable omnivores, feeding on a varied diet of plants, berries, insects, fish, and small mammals depending on the season. They inhabit diverse environments, including forests, mountains, and meadows, and play an important ecological role by dispersing seeds and helping maintain healthy ecosystems.
