This is an excellent, hand woven, flat weave rug by master weaver, Pedro Sosa. It was made using 100% soft, fine, hand spun wool in an amazing, Ganado Hubbell Crosses Morning Star pattern. The rug was hand woven with a tight weave using 100%, locally hand spun, wool blend yarn that offers natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, hand woven weave displays bold colors in the fine, Ganado Hubbell Crosses Morning Star pattern in the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Mito Ruiz. This bold and beautiful rug shows a fantastic, Navajo-style Ganado Hubbell Crosses Morning Star. The rug shows fantastic coloring; it has a red field with two arrow pictorials on either side of the rug and a large, graduated cross in the center of the rug with colors shifting from black to beige, into red, then brown, and back to black, with a cross made of up small diamonds as its centerpiece. The rug shows a double braid of black, wool tassels on all four sides. The piece is in brand new condition with a fine, tight weave. The nice, large rug measures 6’ by 6.5’ (6 foot by 6 foot 6 inches). This is a contemporary rug, hand-woven by Pedro Sosa, a Zapotec Indian from a small weaving village, in amazing natural dyes and wool.
