Featured in this lot is this oil painting on board called "A Stream Near Augusta, MT" by Montana artist Blackfoot Tribal Member Gary Schildt born in 1938 and died in 2021. The painting features a wonderfully and professionally crafted oil on board construction that shows a painting of a stream near Augusta, MT. Gary Schildt, an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Tribe, has been an artist all his life and is noted for portraying Montana cultures in his artwork. He was born in Helena and grew up with his grandparents on their ranch in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains on the Blackfeet Reservation. The condition of this oil painting on board is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this framed artwork is 11 5/8" x 13 5/8" and the visible artwork measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2".
