For your consideration in this lot we have a pair of George Lawrence Portland leather chaps. The chaps are marked "Lawrence Portland. OR.". The chaps features large front pockets, with fringe, and a war patina. The George Lawrence Company was founded in 1857 in Portland Oregon. The George Lawrence Company became the largest producer of saddles in the Northwest. Many were shipped from the West Coast to the gold strike area in Alaska and the Yukon Territory. It was a saddlery and harness shop made famous by also producing exquisite leather goods such as handgun holsters, fishing creels, cartridge belts, slings, scabbards, etc. The chaps are in good condition overall showing some wear and tear indicative of its age. The chaps measure 40 1/2" long by 16" wide when buckled.
