The lot features a German lever lock (leverlock) switchblade automatic knife with Damascus Blade and premium cocobolo wood grips. The handmade knife features a folded high carbon steel and nickel carbon forge twisted Damascus blade in a drop point pattern. The switchblade shows a highly polished nickel brass bolster and bolster lining which is accented by the beautiful premium highly figured cocobolo exotic wood grip scales. The grip scales show brass pins. The brass bolsters have been deeply and artfully engraved. The handle spine or spring frame shows an artful hand etched vine file work that is carried along the back of the blade tang. The knife functions as a traditional German lever lock, showing a folding lever button which when pulled down and pressed, releases the blade immediately thrusting it forward and then locking into active position. The knife has a strong function. The blade then can be closed by pressing the same lever and pulling the blade into place at which point the lever will "lock" the blade back into place. The piece shows a wonderful artful handmade quality and displays excellently. Measures when open 8.5 inches in length with a 3.75-inch-long blade. When closed the knife measures 4.75"L.
