Featured in this lot is this GIA certified, unheated blue sapphire and diamond, platinum ring with GIA and AIG paperwork. The ring shows an electronically tested platinum, ladies cast construction with great condition, good workmanship, and a hallmark of 'Orianne' and 'PT950.' The center stone is a heart shape brilliant step cut, transparent blue sapphire with an overall weight of 1.93 carats and a moderately included clarity, considered type II, medium dark, moderately strong blue color (GIA B 6/4). This sapphire was graded loose before setting and transmits light with minimal distortion; it is transparent with naturally occurring internal and external characteristics present. The center stone is profusely decorated with a tiered diamond bezel supported by diamond set split shoulders decorated with a total of 60 prong set, round brilliant cut diamonds; the diamonds have a weight of 1.17 carats and show VS-2 to SI-1 clarity and F - H color gradient. The piece comes complete with AIG (American International Gemologists, a GIA certified lab AIG Appraisal Number#: 000720012004) report and appraisal, confirming the above info and giving a total value of $17,250.00. GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Sapphire Grading Report#: 6204. The ring size is US 7 1/4.
