The center stone is a prong set, oval mixed cut natural ruby measuring 7.38mm x 6.56mm x 2.73mm and having an exact weight of 1.21 carats with severely included clarity, considered type II with dark moderately strong red coloration, GIA R 7/4, and good cut. The ruby transmits light with minimum distortion and is transparent with naturally occurring internal and external characteristics and features no indication of heating; it was graded loose prior to setting in the GIA laboratory. The center stone is profusely decorated with 26 prong set round brilliant and princess cut diamonds with an approximate weight of 0.48 carats, a color gradient of F – H, and SI1 - SI2 clarity.
