For your consideration are five single, Great Northern Railway calendars featuring art from Adolph Heinze from 1929. Adolph Heinze (1887 – 1958) was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 5, 1887. He was a student of Karl Albert Buehr, Grant, Snell and later, with William Merritt Chase in New York. He was a member of the Painters and Sculptors of Chicago, the Chicago Gallery Association and the All-Illinois Society of Fine Arts. These single calendars were from a full calendar but this lot only features July, August, September, October & December of 1929. The art featured on these calendars are as follows: Prince of Wales Hotel - Waterton Lakes National Park, Crossley Lake & Pyramid Peak - Glacier National Park, Red Eagle Mountain St. Mary Lake - Glacier National Park, Iceberg Lake - Glacier National Park and Mount Oberlin & Mount Clements - Glacier National Park. Each calendar features the "Great Northern" logo with the mountain goat image set in the center. They each feature a different slogan on the right hand side. One is set on poster board and shrink wrapped to preserve its condition. They show good condition overall with slight wear present from their age and use over the years but no major signs of damage is noted. They measure 20 1/2" L x 10 7/8" W and have a collective weight of 8 ounces.
