Featured in this rifle we have a brass accented Goddard Warranted percussion cap conversion black powder rifle chambered in .38 caliber. The rifle displays a 36 1/2" long heavy octagonal barrel, walnut half stock, brass trigger guard, dual trigger system, brass accents, stock storage compartment, wood under barrel ram rod, and brown finish. The lock plate displays floral designs with a pheasant and two ducks displayed near the hammer. The lock plate is marked "GODDARD WARANTED". The percussion system shows signs of being converted from flint lock with a brass fill below the striker. The underside of the barrel is marked "D100685CA". Mechanically the rifle shows good working order overall with the back trigger showing limited operation. The stock shows fair condition overall with wear across the stock with some of the finish having been rubbed off. The stock displays brass accents and brass door for a stock storage compartment. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
