For your consideration is a first edition copy of “Gold Fields of the Klondike and the Wonders of Alaska”, copyright by M.J. Coghlan, 1897. This book is a masterly and fascinating description of the newly-discovered gold mines and the vast riches of Alaska. This book was published by Edgewood Publishing Company and was carefully prepared by Ernest Ingersoll, who was a well-known traveler throughout the Rocky Mountains and an established author. The introduction was written by Hon. Henry W. Elliot, Agent of the Unites States Government in Alaska. This book is profusely illustrated and shows a gold gilt cover with an illustrated design of gold miners in Alaska. The book shows sign of wear on the binding, as shown in photographs. It measures 6" x 8.25".
