Featured in this lot is this collection of Great Basin regional projectile points and scrapers. This collection of points and scrapers features a wonderfully and professionally napped flint and chert material. Two of the points were identified as the Cottonwood Leaf point with a wide body and a triangular napped point. The second point identified is the Excelsior projectile point and shows a bi point construction with a wider base and a very sharp triangular point. The rest of this collection includes a variety of different shaped scrapers and unfinished construction of projectile points. All the points in this collection were found in the Great Basin region of the United States; The Great Basin includes most of Nevada and about half of Utah extending into 56 smaller portions of California, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming. The condition of this collection of projectile points and scrapers is preserved with some of the points missing tips or broken in half while others are in good display condition. The measurements of this collection of projectile points and scrapers in display box is 9 5/8" x 11 1/4" and the points range from 3/4" x 1/2" to 2 3/8" x 1 7/8". The collective weight of this collection of projectile points with display is 2lb.
