Available in this lot is a Signed Limited Edition William Redd Taylor Lithograph of a Grey Heron, #5/150. Wm. Redd Taylor, (1938 2018), in a relatively short period of time, has gained wide recognition for his distinctive watercolour paintings. Although his paintings would generally be considered traditional, his style has been described as somewhat unique. Though completely realistic, his paintings have an ethereal quality. One senses the freedom of ducks in flight, feels the cold dampness of the marsh, and most of all, one has that haunting sensation of "having been there." Taylor's paintings have been exhibited in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, Virginia; the Mariner's Museum, Newport, Virginia; the deCordova Museum, Lincoln, Massachusetts; the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, Wisconsin; The National Collection of Fine Arts of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.; and numerous other galleries around the U. S. A.
