Featured in this lot we have a pair of Gros Louis size 12x42 snow shoes. These shoes are made of a light wood and sinew with green leather straps. The shoes are marked across the top, reading "Gros Louis Snow Shoes Reg'd - Village Huron Que - Made in Canada - Grandeur 12 X 42 Size". The snow shoes originates from the 1900's. The snow shoes show wonderful craftsmanship with a wonderful symmetrical weave making the base. The shoes are in good condition and wood make a great addition to any home as wall decor. The snow shoes measure 41 3/4" long by 12 1/2" wide.
