The lot features a gunstock war club with spontoon iron blade. The war club shows a solid hardwood carved gunstock style. The right side of the haft shows a carved set of symbols including a red star and a yellow crescent moon. The left side shows red Thunder bird. The club is adorned with solid brass round shank tacks. The end of the club has a bird head image carved from it. The entire piece shows a rough folk art style with crude rough carving . Near to bottom is a drilled hole that would have held a drop of feather or beaded drop at some point. The war club also has a spontoon spike blade with three pierced holes. The club measures 28" long 5 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" thick. Likely a modern handmade creation.
