For your consideration is this original oil on canvas paitning done by German artist Gustav Turk (1923-1978) in the 1950s to 1960s. This painting shows a beautiful forest scene with a small creek running through the center of the painting. The sky is cloudy and overcast and various trees can be seen with light leaf coverage on the branches, hinting that it could be close to Winter or early Spring. It is signed in the bottom left hand corner reading, " G. Turk" in black paint. It is set in a beautifully crafted gold gilt frame. The visible art measures 31" L x 27" W, while the entire piece measures 38 7/8" L x 34 3/4" W x 3 3/4" D. It has a total weight of 13 pounds and 6 ounces.
