Presented in this lot is a set of H&C Selb Bavaria Heinrich & Co Vintage Porcelain China. Stunning set of Heinrich & Co. Selb Bavaria hand painted porcelain china with gold trim accents. Palace, Cavalier and unnamed patterns though all three patterns are identical swags of pink roses below a geometric design over white with gold trim bands on the edges; the cups, covered sugar bowl, and the creamer have gold trimmed handles. All plate pieces have gold bands along the rims and interior gold bands as well. Franz Heinrich was a Bavarian porcelain painter. In 1896, he built a melting pot in his parents’ house in Selb. Initially, he bought whiteware from local porcelain factories, but starting in 1901, he produced his own porcelain. Under his leadership, the Porzellanfabrik Heinrich Selb developed into one of the most important manufacturers in Germany. During the heyday, almost half of the German porcelain production came from the Hutschenreuther, Rosenthal, and Heinrich factories. After the Second World War, Heinrich was the first porcelain producer in West Germany to resume production. In 1976, Heinrich Porzellan GmbH was integrated into the Villeroy & Boch brand. This lot includes 51 pieces: (9) 3.5" flat tea cups, (9) 5.25" fruit/dessert (sauce) bowls, (1) 3.5" sugar bowl with lid, (1) 3.5" creamer, (8) 5.5" flat cup saucers, (5) 6.5" bread & butter plates, (8) 7.5" salad plates, (8) 9.75" dinner plates, (1) 13" oval serving platter, (1) 9" round vegetable bowl. This set is in amazingly fine condition, gold trim appears intact throughout, both floral & geometric designs appear intact and without fading. Very little chipping noted, scratches not observed, no other obvious marring noted.
