For your consideration is this early, brass fire extinguisher manufactured by H.W. Johns-Manville Company in the mid 1900s. The H.W. Johns-Manville Company was formed in 1901 from a merger between the H.W. Johns Manufacturing Company (founded 1858) and the Manville Covering Company (founded 1886). They produced various goods for consumers. This fire extinguisher shows a brass construction with embossed lettering on the front reading, "Success / For Fire Turn Bottom End Up / H.W. Johns-Manville Company U.S.A.". The bottom shows instructions on how to use and how to recharge the extinguisher. It is missing its rubber hose that would connect to the faucet. It shows good to fair condition with wear present from its age and use over the years, but no signs of major damage is noted. It measures 7 1/2" L x 7 1/2" W x 23 3/8" H and weighs 13 pounds and 10 ounces.
