The lot features a Pennsylvania / Kentucky Half-Stock muzzleloading flintlock to percussion conversion rifle silver-inlaid, engraved, and brass tacked as well as stamped, “Tecumseh Rifle Given By Daniel Boone” from the former Great Lakes Fur Trade Museum. The lot features an A.T. Russell stamped Kentucky Half-Stock flintlock muzzleloading black powder that was converted to percussion cap at some point. The rifle shows a silver inlaid name plaque start burst on one side and a patchbox on the other with hunting gamebird engraving. The end of the barrel shows an engraved feature and the half stock has a silver pewter cap. The entire high-grade tiger strip hardwood stock shows a brass and metal tack design. The rifle is a .50 caliber rifle with ram rod still intact and included. Has double triggers, one set trigger with brass guard. Bottom is stamped into the wood, “TECUMSEH RIFLE GIVEN BY DANIEL BOONE”. The hammer pulls back but does not catch. Provenance: Purchased from the deaccession sale from the Great Lakes Fur Trade Museum near Twin Harbors, Minnesota in the early 2000’s from a private collection. Measures overall 54.75-inches long.
