Featured in this lot is this halo tanzanite diamond and 14k white gold ring. The ring features a wonderfully and professionally crafted 14k white gold construction that features a twisted bar shoulders and a center stone of oval cut tanzanite gemstone that shows wonderful clarity and transmits light effectively and shows a total weight of 1.20 carats. The center stone and twisted bar design are profusely decorated with a total of 52 round brilliant cut diamonds that show good eye clarity and features a total diamond weight of 0.35 carats. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The ring is marked 'RI' and shows '14k' stamp on the inside of the ring band. The ring size is US 7.
