This rug, which originates from the middle of the 20th century, is a quintessential example of Oriental rug making, with a fantastic and expansive color pallet, predominantly ivory and khaki colored, and a dense knot pattern. The rug boasts a central Shah Abbasi Medallion with beautiful floral motifs surrounding. The border of the rug displays symmetrical pattern, featuring floral design, playful fish, and ornate medallions. There is a tag on the back side of the rug, which reads "Basiran - Genuine Oriental Rugs - Basiran Super Chinese - (FA) Handmade in China - Handmade in Persia - 100% Wool Pile RN22510". The rug shows very good condition. The rug measures 72" wide and 108" long.
