Included in this lot we have a hand painted carved folk whale rattle figure. The piece displays a painted hollowed out gourd construction with leather front, tail, and dorsal fins. The figure is painted in a dark green base with a light green underside with the face showing red and black designs with yellow eyes. The whale seams to be styled after a sperm whale. The piece is set with rattle beads in the center. The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear. The figure measures 18 1/2" long by 4 1/2" wide.
