Offered in this lot we have a Zapotec Native American hand woven wool rug. The rug shows vibrant colors with a excellent tight weave. It shows wonderful geometric patterns at the center with bands of color on the ends. The rug shows colors of pink, light blue, maroon, dark blue, green, brown, and off white. The Zapotec people were among the first to learn Spanish style weaving before the Navajo people. Their rugs are highly prized among collectors. The rug shows good condition overall with woven tassels on each end. The piece measures 57 1/2" long by 30 1/2" wide with 4-5" tassels on each end.
