Featured in this lot we have a wonderful Harper Ferry Springfield percussion cap musket rifle chambered in .69 and originating from 1851. The rifle displays a 42" long round barrel, walnut stock, percussion cap system, trigger guard, and under barrel ram rod. The barrel is marked across the back with manufacture and inspection stamps. The lock plate displays the US eagle insignia with the back of the lock plate reading "HARPER FERRY 1851". The stock has been stamped with two proof marks across the side. The rifle shows wonderful condition with some light wear and pitting due to age and use. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
