This is an original, authentic bronze sculpture of a Native American Indian Warrior by Harry Andrew Jackson (1924-2011) titled, “To the Gods” and dated 1961. This is an immensely rare bronze by Harry Jackson with only one other example on the public market. The bronze is from a prominent Western and Native American art collection. The piece is signed / marked: H.J. 1961; also has a plaque on the front reading “To The Gods – Harry Jackson”.
Harry Andrew Jackson (April 18, 1924 – April 25, 2011), born Harry Aaron Shapiro Jr., was an American artist. He began his career as a Marine combat artist, then later worked in the abstract expressionist, realist, and American western styles. The condition of this bronze sculpture is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze sculpture are 23 1/2" x 6" x 13 1/4".*
