Featured in this lot is this set of Haviland Limoges "Pink Spray" pattern French china circa 1890's - 1920's. There are a total of 53 dishes in this collection and is considered a partial set. The collection shows the "pink Spray" pattern that includes floral decorations with pink flowers shown on vines of green foliage. The platters are marked "Haviland France" under the glaze and "Haviland & Co. Limoges stamped on the pieces with two of the dishes marked "Theodore Haviland - New York - Made in America - Pink Spray". The dishes included in this are dinner plates, salad plates, tea cup plates, butter pat, tea cups, serving vase, serving dishes and bowls, and a lidded serving platter. Sets of this caliber and quality have been sold in auction between $1600.00 - $3600.00
The condition of this collection of fine imported china is good with some slight chipping to the rims of tea cups and platters and some yellowing from previous tags but otherwise shows good overall preserved condition. The measurements of this collection range from 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" x 1/2" for the smallest dish the butter pat, to 9 3/4" x 9 3/4" x 3/4" for the dinner plates, and the largest serving dish measures 5" x 12 1/4" x 7 1/2".
