Featured in this lot is the: "Haynes Guide Yellowstone Park" by Jack Ellis Haynes,1961, official photographer of Yellowstone National Park, the first national park in the country. This is the next to last guide published prior to Jack's death in 1962. The family run Haynes Studios would continue publishing the guide until 1966. The guide has many maps, illustrations and photos which were taken by Frank, Jack, as well as other Haynes Studios members including Jack's only daughter, Lida. All eighteen (18) maps were drawn by Jack. It is complete with the fold out map inside the back cover. This guide is near new condition, hardly visible scuffing on cover and spine edges, pages are clean, foxing was not noted, the green cloth bound cover has an illustrated image of Old Faithful Geyser erupting, the spine title is gold gilt.
