The lot features a brass pipe tomahawk head with HBC Montreal stamping. The head shows a tear drop shaped eye with file molded diamond eyelet outer shape having a stepped design with vase like tall pipe bowl with molded ridges. The blade shows a typical western shape with weeping heart cut out and punch dot engraved design. The stamping shows a crow with rectangular boxed HBC below and MONTREAL below that, a typical Hudson Bay Company silversmith marking. The blade has a dark to mellow brass coloring. The age and origin of the piece is unknown, but overall the piece has a nice artistic appeal. Measures 10.25”L by 3.25”L across the blade by 1 5/8” wide at the outsides of the eye.
