Featured in this lot is this 1881, first edition copy of Heroes Of The Plains or Life And Wonderful Adventures of Wild Bill, Buffalo Bill" by J.W. Buel, published by the Historical Publishing Company and copy-righted by W.S. Bryan. This book is profusely illustrated with fifteen color plates and numerous in text illustrations, tales of Native America tribes and their battles and life in the West in general. It covers the battle of Little Big Horn, outlaws, important Indian battles and fights and much more. The exterior of the book shows gold gilt lettering on the front cover and the spine. The book shows good condition overall with wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. Loose spine and front cover, but tight binding is still present within the pages. Interior pages show good condition with slight foxing noted throughout. It measures 8 3/8" L x 5 3/4" W x 1 5/8" D and weighs 1 pound and 10 ounces.
