This is a Hudson Bay 41ax Bear Trap clamp with steel U. This clamp is used to set large bear traps. After one spring has been depressed with the clamp, the steel U is used to hold the spring while the other side is depressed. The clamp is made from cast iron. It shows good condition. When the clamp is extended it measures 19.5”L x 3.5”W with a 5.75” opening. The clamp is 14"L when closed. The U is 3.25”x4.75”.
