For your consideration is this high back seat Wade A-fork salesman sample saddle circa early 1900's. The original saddlery shop salesman sample most likely dates to the early 1900's and is a rare find. Wade tree saddles is a slick fork buckaroo style that is specifically built to be a working saddle, and designed for handling livestock and for maximum comfort during a long day in the saddle. High back saddles provide an extremely stabilizing aspect to working saddles. This sample saddle would have been used to show off the countless options a saddle maker can contribute to the right custom saddle. showing the type of harness the stirrups and latigo keepers are attached to; and also shows types of tooling consistent with saddles of the time period. The condition of this salesman sample is good showing slight aging to the leather, but in good overall condition. The measurements of this salesman sample 12" x 9" x 13"
