This is an exceptionally rare authentic original Highlander Beer Missoula Brewing Company advertising pin-up girl calendar from circa 1959. The calendar shows a risque young blonde girl with baby blue ribbon pony tail holder seated on a lawn chair without clothes being only covered by a towel all while talking to her exotic parrot. This is truly a very fantastic and rare original Montana breweriana poster calendar dating to circa 1959. The piece is marked in silver lettering, "You'll Like... Highlander Beer Misoula Brewing Company Missoula, Montana" along with, "Additional Information May be Found Under the Calendar Pad". The piece has a Copyright in the bottom left corner from The Gerlach-Barklow Co. Joliet, ILL. U.S.A. The painting displayed on this piece is titled, "Keep Cool, Polly" and was an original painting by Alex Ross (whose signature can be seen in the print area) and is said to be of a beautiful lady getting ready for a dinner date. The piece is accompanied by a complete January through December 1959 calendar that is original to the piece. The top and bottom of the poster show a metal strip. This is fine condition for its early age with various minor tack holes at the top and slight wrinkled bent edge along the sides. These authentic Highlander Calendars are exceedingly rare with one being sold by our company in our 11/12/2016 sale for over $600 (with premium) titled, "No, No, Polly." Measures 16"x33.5"
