For your bidding is an engraved Savage Model 720 semi-automatic shotgun chambered in 12 gauge in a highly desired deluxe special order finish, likely hand done after purchase, with crotch burl deluxe wood, amazing carved checkering and carved wood, and astounding hand engraving on all sides of the receiver. The shotgun features a 22" blue'd steel round barrel and factory receiver with deluxe walnut hardwood checkered stocks and Cutt's compensator. The left side of the receiver is marked "Savage - Savage Arms Corporation Utica, New York, U.S.A. – Model 720". The right side of the barrel is marked "Proof Tested 12 Gauge 2 3/4" Proof Chamber. This Savage shotgun showcases extensive engravings and carvings throughout the barrel and receiver. The engraving on the left of the receiver shows two dogs on point at a pair of pheasants, while the right side shows a single dog flushing what appears to be two quail or partridge. The left of the receiver also features a U.S. stamping above the pheasants. Serial number: 87434. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
