Featured in this lot is this bronze sculpture called "Jock Scott," from Montana artist Dave Hodges born in 1949. This bronze features a leaping salmon sculpture and features the artist signature on the back of the bronze and numbered 35/100 and is mounted on a polished hardwood shield. The "Jock Scott" is a dressed salmon fly created in 1850 by John (Jock) Scott, born at Branxholm in Roxburghshire in 1817. Dave Hodges, is a Big Timber Montana artist, graduated from MSU in 1979. In 1982, he began his professional career as a bronze sculptor and continues to be highly sought by collectors. The condition of this bronze is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze are 8 1/2" x 5" x 5 3/4".
