For your consideration is a set of Hopi Hand Carved Signed Kachina Owl and Squash Dolls. The first is an Kachina doll known as Owl by artist "Largo" as marked on the base. It is a mostly white doll with red shoes, and paint, as well as black and turquoise circles. The head of the doll is adorned with feathers and a beak. The doll is holding a feather in its left hand, and rattle in its right hand. The rattle is tan colored, with a black stripe and turquoise color dots. The doll has feather, leather and fur accents. The second Kachina doll is known as "Squash" and is by artist "Long" as marked on the base. It is a green bodied, squash design. It has vibrant colors and is adorned with ceremonial garb. The right hand is missing the item held by the doll, and in the left hand and back of head is a squash shaped rattle with black cross design. Each doll measures approximately 7 1/2" tall.
