Featured in this lot is a Hopi Indian pottery bowl by Priscilla Namingha Nampeyo. The bowl shows excellent craftsmanship and wonderfully illustrated geometric patterns on the outside walls of the bowl. The bowl shows the artist’s signature on the bottom of the piece. Priscilla Namingha Nampeyo (b.1924) is a third generation descendant of Nampeyo of Hano. Her mother was Rachel Namingha Nampeyo and her grandmother was Annie Healing Nampeyo. She has continued using the Sikyatki revival designs taught to her by her relatives. She is an outstanding potter and her designs are beautifully executed. The overall condition of this pottery vessel is good with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this pot are 3 1/2" x 5" x 5". (30038)
