Featured in this lot is this silver geometric shadowbox ranger buckle from Hopi artist Poseyesva. The range buckle includes all three segments with geometric shadowbox design to the face of the buckle and segments and shows wonderfully crafted silver construction. The artist’s hallmark can be seen on the back of the buckle. A self-taught artist, Phil Poseyesva started making jewelry at the age of thirteen and mastered the technique of traditional Hopi overlay as a young silversmith. The condition of this buckle is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of each piece of the ranger buckle are 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" x 1/8", 1 3/8" x 1/2" x 5/8", and 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 1/8". The overall weight of this ranger buckle is 56.7g.
