For your consideration is this Hopi-Tewa pottery bowl made by Ellsworth Polacca Nampeyo of the Hopi-Tewa in 1977. He was the son of renowned potter Fannie Nampeyo and the grandson of Nampeyo of Hano. He was the brother of Elva, Leah, Tonita, Harold, Thomas, and Iris Nampeyo. He started producing ceramics in the late 1970s and continued throughout the 1980s. His creations were primarily polished red ware with carved motifs. This red pottery bowl shows carved geometric designs throughout the entire piece and is signed on the bottom reading, "Ellsworth Polacca Nampeyo 77". It shows good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage noted. It measures 2 5/8" L x 2 5/8" W x 2 3/8" H and weighs 116.2 grams (4.1 ounces).
