Ila Mae Mcafee (1897-1995) is an American painter, muralist, illustrator, and author who was born in or near Gunnison, Colorado. She is known for her miniatures and as an animalier and muralist. She is best remembered for her paintings of horses, Western themes, landscapes, and portraits of Pueblos. The condition of this painting is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this framed artwork are 23 1/2" x 18 1/4" and the visible art measures 9 3/4" x 5 1/4". Provenance: originally from the Elmer P. Turner.
