Featured in this lot is this Morse Knife taken from Calhoun County, Illinois and from the Woodland period, aged 3,000 - 1,500 B.P. The point shows a slender design with an ovoid knife blade and is widest about 3/4 of the way up the blade. It has an almost squared stem for attaching to haft and appears to be knapped from a speckled cream chert material. The condition of this point is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 5 3/4" x 1 1/2".
