Offered in this lot is an Original Signed Vintage Impressionist Winter Landscape With Stream Watercolour Painting, circa Mid-20th Century, framed. Impressionist painters focus more on reflections of light on snow. Monet was the first and most prolific Impressionist painter of "effets de neige" (effects of snow), and other notable French painters followed suit during the period from the mid-1860s into the 1890s. This scene, full of winter’s deep shadows and subtleties of whites, demonstrates the Impressionist’s endless fascination with light, the moment, and changing atmospheric conditions. It elucidates and enriches our knowledge of Impressionism through this exceptional winterscape, focused on the unique visual characteristics of the snow itself. Artist's signature is visible on bottom left below fence. This watercolour is in nice condition, no obvious marring observed. The matted wood frame exhibits scuffing along the edges. Visible art measures 10.25"W x 13.75"L, frame is 19.75"W x 23.75"L x 1.25"D
