This is "Indian Horrors or Massacres by the Red Men" by Henry David Northrop published circa 1891. The book features a beautifully illustrated and gilt decorated cover and spine. The book provides riveting narratives of various conflicts up through the Indian wars of the 1880's. There are numerous illustrations throughout as well as images of Native Americans such as Sitting Bull, Plenty Scalps, Standing Bear and many more. The book shows good overall condition. It measures 7 7/8" x 5 3/4" x 1 1/2".
