Thatcher. “Indian Tribes Chiefs and Wars Indian Life and Battles A Minute And Graphic Story Of The Early Indian In The United States - A Valuable Compendium To General American History" is a book about Native American life in the Eastern areas of North America from prior to the establishment of European colonies in the early 1600s until the early 1800s, including inter-tribal warfare, involvement during the French & Indian War (1754-1763), the US Revolutionary War of Independence (1775-1783), and the Northwest Wars that followed during the 1790s. Native peoples mentioned include the Squaw-Sachem, the Five Nations (Mohawks, Oneidas, Cayugas, Onondagas, Seneca), the Adirondacks, Ottawas, Delaware, Cherokee. Amongst the many chiefs mentioned are Pontiac and Tecumseh. The overall condition of this book is good, the blue cloth bound gold gilt stamped cover is in good condition, scuffing noted to the edges, spine title has faded, gold gilt front cover is mostly intact.
