Featured in this lot is this International Mutoscope Co. reel movie viewer. The viewer features marking at the bottom of the sign reading Patented - International Mutoscope Co. Inc. - New York, U.S.A. The viewer is marked near the lens reads: International Mutoscope Co. - New York. The viewer shows that it works and has been plugged in and shows a scene from Charlie Chaplan where he performs slapstick comedy on the street with a guy that comes out of a store. The advertisement of the sign is of Buddy Baer K.O.'s Jack Doyle and features a photograph of the K.O. underneath the title. To operate the machine you plug it in and turn the spindle located underneath the lens and it turns the reel inside the machine. The condition of this mutoscope reel machine is fair to good with a nail holding the reel compartment closed and shows some modern repair to the sign on top of the machine but is in otherwise fair to good overall condition. The measurements of this machine are 40 1/4" x 11 3/4" x 20 1/2".
