For your consideration is this Inuit Eskimo argillite and mother of pearl eagle. This is a beautifully crafted argillite eagle with mother of pearl stones set into the face as its eyes. The eagle shows iconic decoration tot he wings and the back of the eagle. Argillite is a fine-grained sedimentary rock composed predominantly of indurate clay particles. This is a good carving that shows a great coloration to the stone itself. The condition of this figure is good with no obvious signs of damage with well preserved can cared for condition. The measurements of this carved figure 7" x 3 1/2" x 4".
