Featured in this lot is this Inuit Eskimo tribal carved painted totem circa 1950-1960's. The totem features a wonderfully and professionally crafted wooden and polychrome painted construction that shows a six tier headed totem with the top showing an eagle and the bottom showing a frog with other animalistic representations throughout. The totem seems to be carved from a soft wood such as cedar and is mounted on a symmetrical base. The condition of this Inuit totem is is well preserved with slight wear to the third totem head and to the base with little wear to the rest of the painted piece but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this totem is 14 5/8" x 7 3/8" x 2". The collective weight of this totem is 4oz.
