Featured in this lot is this pair of Iroquois Indian beaded leather and cloth moccasins. The moccasins originate from late first quarter to mid-1900's. The moccasins are constructed of tanned leather hide and have black trade cloth adorning the instep and heel. Additionally, the border of the heel is accented with brown-red cloth. The trade cloth portions of the moccasins are decorated with intricate trade seed beadwork, including chalk white, semi-transparent clear, robin egg blue, transparent green, red, and yellow. The moccasins show fair to poor overall condition, with the beading panels and ankle cuffs coming off the moccasins. The moccasins measure 5 1/2" wide by 9 1/2" long.
