Featured in this lot is this polychrome pottery vessel from Isleta artist Stella Teller born in 1929 and circa 1950's. The pottery vessel shows wonderfully and professionally crafted ceramic construction that features wavy geometric patterns painted with polychrome natural paint and features natural red clay coloration of the rim. The pottery vessel is marked on the bottom 'S. Teller - Isleta, N. Mex.' Stella Teller is an award-winning artist (1929 - ) has enjoyed a long career of making pottery figurines in her studio at Isleta Pueblo. She follows a family tradition of potters, as her great-grandmother Marcellina Jojola, her grandmother Emeklia Lente Carpio, and her mother Felicita Jojola were all pottery makers. The condition of this pottery vessel is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this pottery vessel are 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".
