Classic Iver Johnson Champion Model .410 bore single barrel shotgun. The Iver Johnson Champion was made from 1909-1975. It was considered the standard for high quality in a simple to use and simple to maintain small bore shotgun. The serial number on this example is 87634 C which places a manufacture date during the decade of the Roaring Twenties. These were good economic times preceding the Great Depression and sales were brisk. The more common Champion Model gauges were 12, 16 and 20, with the .410 being scarcer and more desirable today. This example is in fine condition with rich blue on the 26” barrel and a receiver that still retains some case color in the more protected
areas. Aside from a very small chip in the bottom of the butt plate only, the stock and forearm are in fine condition and show a rich walnut color and grain typical of guns from 100 years ago. The bore is excellent and the action is very tight. The Iver Johnson Champion was a very sturdy, all steel built shotgun made to last for decades and generations. This is the scarce .410 version in particularly nice condition. Serial Number: 87634. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
