This is an original oil on canvas painting signed by J.A. Kirkpatrick (North Dakota, 1898-1984). Joseph Kirkpatrick was a North Dakota artist best known for his Western cowboy works of art. This painting shows a pair of cowboys, one is roping a horse. The painting shows great detail and is in good condition. The painting was likely done circa 1920-1960's. It is placed in a rough sawn rustic wood frame. Rear of canvas exhibits some mildew, minor scuffs to frame. J.A. Kirkpatrick original works of oil are highly collectible and this is truly a wonderful vintage representation. An originla J.A. Kirkpatrick sold at our NAAC July 2015 for $3,300 (w/ bp) and was quite a bit smaller, the outside of the frame measured 28.25" by 40.50" with this example being (at the frame) 35" by 53". At the previous lots per square inch price this painting is worth $5,351.68. J.A. Kirkpatrick has also sold at other auction houses in the past such as in Fontaine's in 2014 for $2,904 and at Luther's in 2017 for $2,760 (both w/ bp). Visible art measures 29.25"H x 47"W, frame measures 35"H x 53"W
