Stevens Arms Company Favorite Trade Mark Model 1915 falling block or pivoting block single shot rifle chambered in the desirable varmint and target caliber of .22 long rifle (22LR). The rifle shows a factory blue finish with 24 inch round barrel with an adjustable altitude rear sight, the front sight is missing. The barrel is marked, "J. Stevens Arms Company / Chicopee Falls, MASS. U.S.A. - 22-LONG RIFLE". The top of the half octagon receiver shows the correct marks along with the Model 1915 marking on the rifle tang. The rifle features a falling or pivoting action that is controlled by the lever which doubles as the trigger guard. This particular example also shows a take down screw in front of the lever action. The rifle is in unaltered factory condition with loss to the finishes and much finish retain along with worn walnut hardwoods. Serial number of 417.
